Job summary

Penn-Mar is seeking a Residential Supervisor to oversee Direct Support Professionals across home-based and community settings. The role includes coordinating schedules, ensuring health and safety, and supporting people with IDD to pursue personal goals.

The position requires at least 2 years in direct IDD work and 2 years in supervisory roles, with strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills. Travel and on-call duties may be required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in direct support with the IDD population.
• Minimum 2 years of experience supervising a team of more than 2 people.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Valid Driver’s License with at least 2 years of driving experience and a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Hire, train, onboard, provide oversight and feedback to DSPs.
• Complete 90 day and annual performance reviews for DSPs and foster accountability.
• Ensure DSPs maintain required certifications and trainings.
• Follow incident reporting per state requirements with detailed documentation.
• Schedule and lead department team meetings and coordinate staffing.
• Maintain accurate documentation and timesheets; manage PTO approvals.
