Job summary

Verland in Sewickley, PA is seeking a House Manager to oversee direct care staff and ensure exceptional care for individuals with IDD. This exempt, salaried role reports to the Assistant Director of Residential Services.

Responsibilities include supervising IPPs, coordinating training, conducting CI investigations when needed, organizing community activities, maintaining safety, and ensuring compliance with ICF regulations and union contracts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree, associate degree, or 60 credits from an accredited college.
• Experience in Direct Care and in the ID/D field, with some supervisory experience preferred.
• Must have all required clearances and maintain a valid Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and train direct care staff on individuals’ needs and IPPs.
• Provide orientation for new staff and participate in training/evaluation.
• Provide direct support and accountability to staff to ensure IPP implementation.
• Participate in Interdisciplinary Team Process and prepare documentation for meetings.
• Develop activities schedule and coordinate community outings.
• Manage day-to-day operation of homes and daily programs.
• Process incident reports and monitor goals and objectives.
• Initiate disciplinary procedures and maintain safety and well-being.
• Perform CI investigations when necessary and ensure compliance with ICF regulations.
• Understand and implement union contract requirements; work as DSP when needed.
