Job summary

REM Community Services, part of the Sevita family, seeks a Program Director for IDD Services to lead multiple community programs in Alabama. The role focuses on managing operations, ensuring quality supports, and coordinating health care, advocacy, and regulatory compliance.

You will supervise program staff, participate in hiring decisions, and ensure staff coverage. This position demands leadership, strong organization, and a compassionate approach to support individuals with IDD.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Services or related field required.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience considered.
• Current driver's license, car registration, and auto insurance.
• Strong attention to detail and multi-tasking skills.
• Excellent communication and relationship management.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations of 1–4 programs, including service delivery and regulatory compliance.
• Lead program staff, including performance evaluations, scheduling, and orientation.
• Make recommendations on hires, transfers, promotions, salary changes, or terminations.
• Monitor service delivery and ensure programs are engaging and person-centered.
• Be on-call to support staff and cover shifts as needed.
