Job summary
Verland is seeking a Program Specialist to advocate for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. You will develop, supervise and coordinate each Individual Support Plan (ISP), complete assessments, identify strengths, needs, likes, interests and preferences, as well as the dislikes, for each individual.
This is a salaried, exempt position based in the Squirrel Hill area, PA, with on‑call duties 24/7 and a responsibility to ensure that all medical concerns are addressed and
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in a relevant field with 1 year of IDD experience
- Bachelor’s degree with 2 years’ IDD experience
- Associate degree or 60 credits with 4 years’ IDD experience or equivalent
- Must complete all required clearances and a valid Driver’s License.
Responsibilities
- Secures all necessary services to meet individuals’ ISP.
- Completes ISP documentation, quarterly reviews, revisions and related reports to meet licensing requirements.
- Supervises, monitors and revises services within the ISP as needed.
- Informs plan team members of ISP options and coordinates service delivery.
- Monitors progress and ensures ISP content includes health, safety and environmental plans.
