Job summary

Verland in Squirrel Hill, PA is seeking a Program Specialist to advocate for individuals with IDD, develop ISPs, assess needs, and coordinate services across residential locations. The role requires on-call availability 24/7 and ensuring compliance with state licensing requirements.

The candidate will lead ISP development, train DSPs and coordinators, monitor progress, and maintain thorough documentation while upholding a professional partnership with families and staff.

Qualifications

• Must be on-call 24/7.
• Knowledge of practices and regulations for IDD.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to monitor programming and train staff.
• Ability to establish relationships with staff, families and partners.
• Demonstrated leadership and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Secures services per ISP to meet individuals' needs.
• Completes ISP documentation and scheduling.
• monitors and evaluates services provided in ISP.
• Reports changes to the SC and plan team.
• Ensures ISP content covers health, safety and procedures.
• Provides assessments 30+ days before ISP meetings.
• Reviews ISP with individuals and coordinates services.
• Maintains ISP review documentation for licensing.
• Monitors house funds and individual progress.
• Coordinates DSP training on health and safety needs.
• Develops and implements provider services per licensing.
• Fluent on all assigned ISPs.
• Provides ISP training to coordinators and DSPs.
• Acts as Certified Investigator on-call.
• Performs other related duties.
