Job summary

Verland CLA is seeking a Program Specialist to advocate for individuals with IDD and manage ISP development, assessments, and coordination of services. The role requires preparing ISP content, ensuring compliance with licensing requirements, and training staff to meet individualized needs.

The position is salaried and exempt, with responsibilities including documentation, coordinating services, and on-call availability to address medical and program needs.

Qualifications

Must be on-call 24/7.
Knowledge of current practices and regulations for IDD.
Effective verbal and written communication.
Ability to monitor individual programming and train staff.

Responsibilities

Secures all necessary services to meet individuals’ ISP requirements.
Completes ISP documentation and revisions; ensures licensing compliance.
Supervises and recommends ISP changes to improve outcomes.
Monitors progress and reports changes to the plan team.
Coordinates training for DSPs in health, safety, and ISP content.
Provides ISP training to coordinators and staff.
