Job summary

The Verland Foundation Inc. in Pittsburgh seeks a Program Specialist to advocate for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in our CLA residential locations. You will develop, supervise, and implement ISPs, assess needs, and coordinate services to meet licensing requirements.

The role is salaried and exempt, requiring on-call availability 24/7, strong written and verbal communication, and leadership to train DSPs and coordinate care with plans and medical teams.

Qualifications

• Must have specialized training or one year’s experience with individuals with IDD.
• Must have one of the following degrees with required experience.
• Must complete all required clearances and maintain a valid Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

• Secures services to meet each ISP.
• Completes ISP documentation and revisions for licensing.
• Monitors ISP progress and updates to plan team.
• Coordinates training of DSPs on health and safety needs.
• Schedules medical appointments and ensures follow-up.
