Job summary

Mentor Community Services, a part of Sevita, in Fort Walton Beach, FL, seeks a Program Director for IDD Services to lead day-to-day operations across 1–4 programs, oversee direct supports, person-centered planning, health care, and regulatory compliance. You will supervise staff, handle hires and promotions, and ensure high-quality services.

Eligible candidates have a Bachelor’s degree and 2–3 years in human services, with a valid driver’s license and a compassionate, detail-oriented approach.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and two to three years of related experience in the Human Services Industry preferred.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience accepted.
• Other education, experience, training, licensure, or certification per state requirements or as required by applicable regulations.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day operations of one to four programs in a community.
• Organize and implement direct supports, person-centered planning, and health care.
• Oversee advocacy, stakeholder relations, regulatory compliance, recruiting, retention, staffing, training, safety, and maintenance of the physical environment.
• Manage program staff members including performance evaluations, scheduling, and orientation.
• Make recommendations and/or decisions on employee hires, transfers, promotions, salary changes, corrective action, and terminations.
• Monitor delivery of services and supports; ensure services are engaging and relevant to individuals served.
• Must be available on-call to support staff and cover shifts as needed.

Education
