Job summary

Mentor Community Services in Phoenix, AZ, part of the Sevita family, seeks a Program Director for IDD Services to lead 1–4 programs, oversee staff, and ensure person-centered services. A Bachelor's in Human Services or equivalent experience is preferred, with strong leadership and regulatory compliance skills.

Multiple schedules available including full-time and part-time. The role requires on-call availability, a valid driver's license, and a dedication to compassionate, mission-driven work

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 2–3 years in Human Services preferred.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience accepted.
• Current driver’s license, car registration, and auto insurance required.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to multi-task to meet deadlines.
• Effective communication skills to manage relationships.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of 1–4 programs, including services, planning, compliance, staffing, and safety.
• Supervise program staff with evaluations, scheduling, and orientation.
• Make personnel decisions on hires, transfers, promotions, and terminations.
• Ensure services are engaging, consistent, and person-centered for individuals served.
• Maintain on-call coverage to support staff.
