Job summary

Sevita's Mentor Community Services in Cape Girardeau, MO is seeking a Program Director for IDD Services to lead up to four community-based IDD programs and mentor Direct Support Professionals. You’ll oversee operations, budgets, and quality outcomes while partnering with families to promote independence.

You’ll provide coaching and supervision, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive a person-centered culture across teams, with a focus on dignity and respect for individuals served.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license.
• Reliable transportation with proof of insurance.
• Ability to obtain required state certifications upon hire.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Bachelor's degree in Human Services, Social Work, Psychology, or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily operations of up to four IDD programs.
• Recruit, hire, train, and develop Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) and other team members.
• Provide coaching, performance management, and ongoing staff support.
• Manage program budgets and ensure efficient use of resources.
• Ensure compliance with state regulations, licensing requirements, and company policies.
• Build strong relationships with individuals served, family members, guardians, and community partners.
• Monitor program quality, outcomes, and service delivery standards.
• Address staffing, scheduling, and operational challenges as they arise.
• Foster a positive, person-centered culture focused on dignity, respect, and independence.
