CARC, Inc. in Carlsbad, NM seeks a Life Enhancement Instructor to support individuals with IDD by assisting with care giving and activities that promote personal growth, independence, and social interaction.

You will help plan and participate in art, music and recreational outings, maintain records, and adapt programs to each person's strengths and needs. Excellent communication and a flexible schedule are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 21 years old with good driving record.
• Ability to pass NM Department of Health background checks.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage with individuals with IDD.
• Ability to assess strengths and adapt programs accordingly.
• Maintain accurate documentation of participation and progress.

Responsibilities

• Assist with care giving and activities that promote growth, independence and social interaction.
• Plan and participate in art, music, and recreational outings to meet diverse interests and abilities.
• Maintain records of participation and progress.
• Be flexible to meet residents' needs, including weekends and holidays.
