Job summary

Community Resource Network of Florida, LLC. in Daytona Beach is seeking a Life Skills Instructor to help adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities achieve independence and personal goals.

This full-time, in-person role supports learning self-advocacy, health and safety, and daily living skills while engaging in community activities. Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, ability to pass background and drug screening, and one year of relevant experience.

Qualifications

• High school Diploma or GED required.
• College credits or degree can substitute for experience.
• Must pass Level II background.
• Must pass drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the health and safety of all Individuals, and that Individuals are treated with kindness, dignity and respect.
• Complete all documentation requirements, including daily notes/service logs and summaries on progress toward established support plan and implementation plan goals.
• Create and maintain an atmosphere of warmth, personal interest and positive emphasis as well as a calm environment throughout the facility.
• Greet / assist and escort Individuals to their classrooms, and all areas within the facility.
• Classes and activities will be facilitated daily and adhere to the Person-Centered philosophy.
• Assist Individuals with meals. Assist Individuals with bowel and bladder functions.
