Job summary

PermiaCare, located in Midland, seeks an IDD Crisis Intervention Specialist to support individuals with IDD and significant behavioral/psychiatric challenges. This role requires independent work, crisis response leadership, and collaboration with community resources.

Applicants should hold a Master's degree in social work or related field and have 1+ year experience with IDD and behavioral challenges. LCSW or BCBA certification is required or preferred.

Qualifications

Master's degree from an accredited college or university in social work, behavioral or related field.
At least 1 year experience with individuals with IDD.
At least 1 year experience with behavior intervention and psychiatric challenges.

Responsibilities

Respond and assess individuals with IDD for danger to self or others, psychosis, or mental health deterioration.
Develop treatment and support plans and provide linkages to community resources for individuals with IDD in crisis.
Monitor jail matches and assess detainees to provide support and alternatives to incarceration.
