Job summary

Central Counties Services in Belton, TX seeks a Lead Crisis Intervention Specialist for IDD services to work with coordination teams to identify at-risk individuals and provide crisis prevention strategies.

The role includes crisis respite planning, documentation, and collaboration with law enforcement, providers, and community partners, with travel up to 50% and a day shift. Bachelor’s in a related field and IDD crisis experience preferred; travel within service area required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in psychology, sociology, social work, criminal justice, or related human services field.
• Experience working with individuals with IDD, preferably in crisis settings.
• Knowledge of behavior analysis principles or related disciplines.
• Ability to develop and evaluate behavior support plans.
• Strong assessment and crisis intervention skills.

Responsibilities

• Respond to referrals for Crisis Intervention Services within 48 hours.
• Complete initial screenings/assessments to determine level of need and appropriate services.
• Gather information to develop therapeutic support plans and identify supports necessary for community placement.
• Coordinate admission and discharge for crisis respite services and maintain required documentation.
• Collaborate with supervisors and providers to coordinate services and train respite staff.
