Job summary

The University of Idaho – Boise is seeking an IdahoSTARS Customer Support Specialist I to provide responsive support to child care professionals navigating the RISE data management system for ICCP.

This position requires all-round administrative and customer-service skills, including data entry, calendar management, and clear written communication, with opportunities to collaborate on project leadership and contribute to a busy, mission-driven program.

Qualifications

  • This role requires one year of customer support experience.
  • One year of data entry experience with a data management system.
  • Experience working on a team with shared goals.
  • Experience with organizational and problem-solving tasks.
  • Ability to write clearly as shown in applicant materials.
  • Proficiency with word processing, spreadsheets, email, and internet research.

Position Overview:

This position provides responsive and engaging customer support forchild care professionals as they navigate the data managementsystem (RISE) as it relates to the Idaho Child Care Program (ICCP)and state child care licensing.

Duties may include:
  • Customer Support
  • Facilitating communication between program participants andproject leadership
  • Maintaining program calendars and schedules
  • Operational and Administrative Support
  • Serving as primary contact with program participants
  • Other duties as assigned
Required Experience:
  • One year of experience in a customer support role
  • One year experience with data entry and a data managementsystem
  • Experience working on a team with shared goals
  • Experience with organizational and problem-solving tasks
  • Demonstrated ability to write clearly and precisely asdemonstrated in applicant materials
  • Using computer software and applications for word processing,developing spreadsheets, email and internet research
Required Education:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
Required Other:
  • Ability to travel
  • Ability to work non-standard hours as needed
Additional Preferred:
EXPERIENCE
  • More than one year of experience in a customer supportrole
  • Knowledge of child care licensing procedures and/or federal andstate rules and regulations for child care
  • Experience with the RISE Application
  • Working with child care professionals
EDUCATION
  • Associate's degree in business administration or earlychildhood
