Qualifications

• Current Idaho State Security Guard License is required.
• EMT background is a plus.
• Must have a smartphone to access scheduling, clocking in/out, and reporting apps.
• Reliable transportation is required.
• Honesty and integrity are essential.
• Ability to work non-traditional hours including swings, graveyard, weekends and holidays.
• Knowledge of security protocols and equipment is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Act as a visual deterrent to prevent theft, embezzlement, sabotage, fire, and accidents.
• Monitor activities.
• Access Control.
• Provide safety escorts.
• Use provided communication devices.
• Represent Security Services Northwest’s brand.
• Wear the issued uniform.
• Complete Daily Activity Reports (DAR).
• Complete Incident Reports.
• Work with local law enforcement and emergency services.
• Provide friendly assistance to customers, employees and visitors following procedures.
• Other duties as described in the Post Orders.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Current Idaho State Security Guard License
• EMT Background is a plus
• Smart phone to access the apps we use for scheduling, clocking in/out, and reporting.

• Able to work non-traditional hours including swings, graveyard, weekends, and holidays
• Ability to react appropriately in high stress situations

Education and Experience:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Reserve police officers encouraged to apply
• Valid driver's license with insurable record
• Knowledge of security protocols, and equipment

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to conduct regular walking foot patrols
• Able to stand 8-12 hours a day
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times (occasionally)
