Job summary

Security Services Northwest, Inc. (SSNW) is hiring a part-time on-call security officer in Reno, NV. The role involves deterrence, access control, safety escorts, incident reporting, and collaboration with local law enforcement to protect people and property.

The ideal candidate has a Nevada armed security license, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays. EMT background or strong integrity are a plus; training provided.

Qualifications

• MINIMUM: 10 years prior Law Enforcement, Public Safety and/or Corrections experience required.
• Reserve police officers encouraged to apply.
• Knowledge of security protocols, and equipment.
• High School Diploma or Equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Act as a visual deterrent to prevent theft, embezzlement, sabotage, fire, and accidents
• Monitor activities
• Access Control
• Safety escorts
• Using provided communication devices
• Represent SSNW’s brand
• Properly wear the issued uniform
• Complete Daily Activity Reports (DAR)
• Complete Incident Reports
• Work with local law enforcement, and emergency services
• Provide friendly assistance to customers, employees and visitors following the department's procedures.
• Other duties as described in the Post Orders
