Job summary

Holland Hospital in Holland, MI is seeking a part-time nurse aide for the ICU/Telemetry unit on the night shift. You will work under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, performing patient care tasks and handling basic unit responsibilities.

Required is a High School Diploma or GED and BLS within 60 days; CNA preferred, with bilingual English/Spanish a plus. Schedule is 7pm to 7:30am, every third weekend, 16 hours every 2 weeks.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required or proof of higher education.
• BLS for the Healthcare Provider required by 60 days after hire.
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) preferred.
• Previous patient care experience preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
• Computer literacy preferred.
• Bilingual (English & Spanish) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists in the delivery of direct patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
• Documents patient care activities and data using forms or information systems.
• Performs clinical skills including vital signs, aseptic technique, and specimen collection.
• Performs activities of daily living such as bathing, feeding, grooming and oral care.
• Completes assigned duties within the time frame set by the RN.
• Gathers data including intake, output, vitals, weight, and point-of-care test results.
• Assists with admission, transfer, or discharge of patients.
• Observes patients for changes and reports promptly.
