Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required or proof of higher education, BLS by 60 days after hire.
• CNA preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
• Computer literacy preferred.
• Bilingual English & Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the delivery of direct patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
• Document patient care activities and data using appropriate forms or systems.
• Perform clinical skills: vital signs, aseptic technique, specimen collection, hot/cold applications, simple respiratory therapy, ostomy care, and post mortem care.
• Assist with activities of daily living (bathing, feeding, grooming).
• Complete assigned patient duties within time frames set by the RN.
• Greet and assist patients; gather intake data and monitor vital signs.
• Assist with admissions, transfers, or discharges; observe and report patient changes.
