Job summary

Holland Hospital in Michigan is seeking a full-time Nursing Assistant (CNA) under RN supervision to perform direct patient care and clerical duties. You will assist with vital signs, specimen collection, hygiene, and post-care tasks while documenting accurately in patient records.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, BLS within 60 days of hire, and the ability to work nights 7pm–7:30am, three shifts per week with every third weekend. Bilingual English/Spanish is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required or higher education.
• BLS for Healthcare Provider required within 60 days after hire.
• CNA preferred; prior patient care experience preferred.
• Medical terminology knowledge preferred; computer literacy preferred.
• Bilingual English & Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists in direct patient care under RN supervision and receives assignments.
• Documents patient care activities and data accurately using forms/systems.
• Performs clinical skills: vital signs, aseptic technique, specimens, ostomy care, etc.
• Assists with activities of daily living: bathing, feeding, grooming.
• Completes assigned duties within time frames and reports changes promptly.
• Gathers data: intake/output, vitals, height/weight, point-of-care results.
• Assists with admission/transfer/discharge and observation for safety.
• Maintains unit safety and participates in quality improvement activities.
