Job summary

CareerArc is seeking a licensed Registered Nurse in Washington, DC to assess, implement and evaluate nursing care from admission through discharge, in collaboration with patients and families.

You'll work with an interdisciplinary team to provide evidence-based care, ensure patient safety, discharge planning, and teaching to patients and families. An ADN is required; BSN preferred; 1–2 years' RN experience; state licensure and CPR certification are needed.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Nursing from an accredited program required.
• BSN from an accredited program preferred; if ADN, must enroll in BSN within 12 months of hire and complete within 4 years.

Responsibilities

• Contributes to department goals and adheres to policies, quality, safety standards, and MedStar SPIRIT Values.
• Collects and analyzes patient information spanning physical, psychological, socio-cultural, economic, spiritual and lifestyle factors.
• Provides relationship-based, evidence-based nursing care using the nursing process and collaborates with the interdisciplinary team.
