Job summary

Northshore Home Health Care seeks an experienced Registered Nurse for the Surgical Transplant Intermediate Care Unit in Washington, DC. You will provide specialized on-site nursing care for post-surgical and transplant patients, perform comprehensive assessments, administer medications, and monitor hemodynamics and telemetry to support timely interventions.

Qualifications

• Current RN licensure
• Strong clinical assessment and medication administration skills
• Ability to manage telemetry/hemodynamic monitoring
• Effective communication and education skills with patients, families, and care team

Responsibilities

• Conduct ongoing clinical assessments and coordinate post-operative care
• Administer prescribed medications and therapies
• Monitor vital signs, hemodynamics, and telemetry; respond to changes in condition
• Provide wound care and other post-op support
• Educate patients and families on care plans and recovery
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver patient-centered care
