Qualifications

• RN - Registered Nurse license required in DC or a multi-state license
• CPR certification (AHA/Red Cross) within 90 days
• C-EFM certification required for Perinatal nurses within 12 months from date of hire (15 months for new grads)
• Additional unit/specialty certifications may vary by department or business unit

Responsibilities

• Identifies current and potential complex problems for a specific patient population; analyzes trends and plans interventions.
• Collaborates with nurse leaders and colleagues to develop standards of care.
• Develops and documents individualized plans of care for patients with highly complex needs.
• Advocates for patients by communicating clinical concerns to the care team in a timely manner.
• Documents patient information reflecting nursing assessment, pathophysiology, and treatment in the plan of care.
• Coordinates and delivers care to patients with complex nursing needs to ensure safety and quality.
• Participates in quality assurance, unit assessments, and accreditation-related activities.

Education

Associate's degree in Nursing

Bachelor's degree in Nursing

BSN enrollment within 12 months; complete within 4 years
