Allegheny Health Network's 6A Stepdown Unit at Allegheny General Hospital is seeking a full-time RN to deliver high-acuity care for ICU stepdown patients. The unit handles respiratory issues, sepsis, CHF, and complex medical cases, with close monitoring and blood product administration.

The role requires PA RN licensure (or eNLC), CPR, and background clearances. Union presence and rotating weekends/holidays accompany a comprehensive compliance framework and collaborative care model.

Qualifications

• Active PA RN license or multi-state licensure (eNLC)
• Current CPR certification
• Act 34 Criminal Background Clearance
• Act 33 Child Abuse Clearance
• Act 73 FBI Fingerprinting Criminal Background Clearance

Responsibilities

• Provide care based on the nursing process for the designated patient population.
• Demonstrate clinical assessment and care planning skills.
• Direct and manage patient care delivery with the nursing team.
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team from admission through discharge.
• Assess learning needs of patients and families and provide education.

Education
