Job summary

Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh seeks a Registered Nurse for the 6A Stepdown Unit to provide care for high-acuity patients transitioning from ICU. You will collaborate with the care team to ensure smooth patient progression and maintain high standards of nursing practice.

The position requires 72 hours every two weeks with steady nights from 7pm to 7am, including rotating weekends and holidays per policy. This role is housed within AHN, a Magnet-recognized health system.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year RN experience
• State RN licensure (PA) or eNLC eligibility
• CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates clinical assessment skills and care planning.
• Provides safe and effective care for the age population served.
• Directs and manages the activities of the patient care delivery by the team.
• Collaborates with the multidisciplinary team for the plan of care from admission through discharge.
• Assesses learning needs of patient and family and provides education.
