Mercy Health is seeking a Nursing Assistant Unit Clerk for the ICU Stepdown at Springfield Regional Medical Center. This role supports direct patient care under RN guidance, ensuring accurate documentation and effective communication within the unit.

The position requires high school education (GED accepted) and healthcare basics, with preferred BLS and PCT program completion. Night shift, 36 hours per week, represented by a collective bargaining agreement.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• BLS Basic Life Support (preferred).
• Nursing student with first clinical rotation complete or state testing complete (required).
• Successful completion of PCT Training Program within 6 months of start date.
• Preference for recent acute or long-term care experience.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct patient care under supervision of a Registered Nurse or healthcare professional.
• Acts as liaison between patient and nurse.
• Delivers high level customer service to patients, families, and staff.
• Documents patient care accurately and timely.
• Communicates clearly with the healthcare team.
