Mercy Hospital St. Louis is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join the ICU Stepdown team on the night shift.

Provide high‑quality care for intermediate‑acuity patients transitioning from critical care to Med/Surg, using evidence‑based practices and precise hand‑offs to ensure patient safety. You will collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams, administer medications, monitor complex conditions, and participate in governance and quality initiatives that support patient

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing (ADN, Diploma, or BSN).
• BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality care for intermediate-acuity patients transitioning from critical care to Med/Surg.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care using evidence-based practices.
• Perform accurate hand-offs and bedside shift reporting to maintain patient safety.
• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practitioners, and multidisciplinary partners to optimize outcomes.
• Administer medications and monitor complex conditions (cardiac, respiratory, post-ICU).
• Participate in huddles, shared governance, and unit-based quality initiatives.
