Job summary

Mercy Hospital on W Memorial Rd is seeking a Patient Care Aide (PCA) for a nights, part-time position (24 hrs/week) in the ICU Step Down unit. You will assist in individualized patient care under the direction of the RN or LPN and collaborate with a team to deliver safe, compassionate care.

Applicants should have a high school diploma or GED, CNA/CPTC, or be enrolled in a healthcare program; BLS within 1 month of hire and PCA competencies within 3 months are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED, CNA/CPTC, or enrollment in a healthcare career program.
• Mercy provides a 175-hour state-mandated training during new hire orientation; completion within 90 days.
• BLS required within one month of hire; PCA competencies within 3 months.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the individualized care of the patient under supervision.
• Perform designated clinical procedures and non-clinical support tasks.
