Job summary

Mercy Health – Springfield Regional Medical Center is seeking a Nursing Assistant Unit Clerk to provide direct patient care under the guidance of a Registered Nurse in the ICU setting. You will assist with basic care, document vital signs, and support the healthcare team in a fast-paced environment.

Ideal candidates have a High School diploma or GED, and are enrolled as nursing students or have completed a PCT training program. BLS is preferred and previous acute care experience is a plus.

Qualifications

  • High School/GED required or preferred.
  • Current nursing student with first clinical rotation or state testing completed.
  • Successful completion of PCT training within 6 months.

Responsibilities

  • Provide basic patient care including care and comfort, vital signs, personal hygiene and mobility.
  • Serve as liaison between patient and nurse to report changes.
  • Provide high level customer service to patients, families, visitors and staff.
  • Document patient care accurately and timely.
  • Communicate clearly with the healthcare team.
