Job summary

UI Health in Chicago, IL seeks a Staff Nurse I for the 7W Surgical ICU/Organ Transplant Unit. This flex evenings, 0.8 FTE (32 hours/week) role provides direct patient care and collaborates with the care team to improve outcomes.

Requirements include IL RN licensure, BLS/CPR and ACLS certification, and EHR proficiency. ICU/CCU experience is preferred; residency in IL within 180 days is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year RN experience.
• Illinois RN licensure required; out-of-state licenses not accepted.
• Current BLS/CPR and ACLS certifications.
• Strong communication skills and proficiency with EHR systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care and collaborate with health care team to plan and execute care.
• Verify and implement physician orders and document in EHR.
• Develop patient education plans and respond to changing patient needs.
• Assist in charge nursing duties when assigned and support staff and students.
