UI Health’s 7W Surgical ICU/Organ Transplant Unit seeks a Staff Nurse I for flex night coverage. This 0.9 FTE (36 hours/week) role requires 1 year of RN experience, BLS/ACLS, and strong teamwork to manage complex post-surgical care. The position involves weekend rotation and duties in a high-acuity ICU/organ transplant setting.

The nurse will collaborate with physicians, PAs, and nursing staff; document in EHR, advocate for patients, and participate in leadership activities as needed.

Competenze

• Minimum of 1 year RN experience required.
• Eligibility for licensure as an RN in Illinois; out-of-state licenses not accepted.
• Current BLS/CPR and ACLS certifications.
• Excellent attendance and communication skills.

Mansioni

• Develop, implement, and update patient care plans.
• Collaborate with health care team to ensure quality patient care.
• Verify and document orders in the EHR.
• Provide patient education and family communication.
• Act as Charge Nurse when assigned and mentor staff.
