Job summary

Glenwood Regional Medical Center seeks an Intensive Care RN to direct, plan, and organize nursing activities on the ICU unit during assigned shifts, focusing on patient, physician, and staff needs. You will deliver skilled patient care following the nursing process and established procedures.

Responsibilities include coordinating care among patient, family, medicine, nursing, and support teams, acting as patient advocate, and maintaining current knowledge of professional nursing practice.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Active Louisiana nursing license in good standing.
• BLS within 30 days of hire.
• ACLS and PALS due within 90 days of hire.
• All other certifications due within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Direct, plan, and organize ICU nursing activities for each shift.
• Deliver skilled patient care using the nursing process per policy.
• Coordinate care among patient/family, medicine, nursing and ancillary teams.
• Act as patient advocate and maintain current standards of professional nursing practice.

Education

Graduate of an accredited school of nursing

Louisiana nursing license in good standing
