Job summary

The Glenwood Regional Medical Center CV ICU RN is responsible for directing, planning, and organizing the nursing activities on the CV ICU unit for an assigned shift with focus on patient, physician and staff needs.

You will deliver skilled patient care through the nursing process in accordance with established policies and procedures; for coordinating patient care through the nursing process in accordance with established policies and procedures; for coordinating care among patient/family,

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Active Louisiana nursing license in good standing.
• Previous CV ICU nursing experience.
• ACLS and BLS certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Direct, plan and organize nursing activities on the CV ICU unit for assigned shifts.
• Deliver skilled patient care through the nursing process in accordance with policies and procedures.
• Coordinate care among patient/family, medicine, nursing and ancillary team members.
• Act as patient advocate and maintain current knowledge of professional nursing practice.
