Job summary

The Intensive Care RN at Glenwood Regional Medical Center directs, plans, and organizes ICU nursing activities for an assigned shift, focusing on patient, physician, and staff needs.

The RN delivers skilled patient care through the nursing process in accordance with policies, and coordinates care among patient/family, medicine, nursing, and other team members while advocating for patients.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Active Louisiana nursing license in good standing.
• Previous ICU nursing experience.
• ACLS and BLS certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Direct, plan, and organize ICU nursing activities for an assigned shift.
• Deliver skilled patient care using the nursing process per policies and procedures.
• Coordinate care among patient/family, medicine, nursing, and other team members.
• Act as patient advocate and maintain current standards of nursing practice.
