Job summary

Saint Mary of Nazareth in Chicago, IL is seeking a Temporary Internal Registry Registered Nurse (RN) for the Night Shift in the ICU. The assignment is 12 weeks with a flat $60 per hour rate.

The RN will deliver direct patient care, perform assessment and planning, communicate changes to the physician, and guide patient and family education while maintaining privacy and standards of care. Current state RN license, BLS, ACLS, and ICU experience required.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN license.
• Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain.
• ACLS certificate current; 30 days to maintain.
• Basic Arrhythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire.
• 1 year as staff RN in acute care; CCU/ICU preferred.
• CCRN certification and BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver direct patient care using the nursing process in ICU.
• Direct and guide patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel.
• Communicate changes in patient condition to physician with monitoring results.
• Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality.
