Job summary

Saint Mary of Nazareth in Chicago, IL is seeking a Temporary Internal Registry Registered Nurse (RN) for the Day Shift in the ICU.

The assignment is expected to last 12 weeks with potential extension and pays $60.00 per hour (flat rate); you will deliver direct patient care, follow the nursing process and collaborate with the ICU team while safeguarding patient privacy.

Requirements include an active RN license, BLS, ACLS, and ICU experience.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN License.
• Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• Completion of Critical Care Course preferred.
• Basic Arrythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire.
• Current ACLS certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
• Minimum of one year as a staff RN in acute care hospital, critical care preferred.
• Critical Care RN (CCRN) Certification preferred.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe patient care utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation.
• Provide direct patient care within the ICU scope of practice.
• Direct and guide patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of care.
• Communicate with physicians about changes in patient condition and test results.
• Respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition and/or response to treatment; protect patient privacy.
