Job summary

Saint Joseph Medical Center - Joliet in Joliet, IL is seeking an Internal Registry Registered Nurse (RN) for ICU. The PRN 12-week assignment requires Night shifts and offers $57.50 per hour, with the start date determined at hire.

The RN will deliver safe patient care using the nursing process, handle patient/family teaching, and coordinate with physicians on changes in the patient condition. Licenses and certifications required as listed.

Qualifications

• RN license required and current.
• Basic life support (BLS) at hire and maintained.
• Critical care training or course preferred.
• Arrhythmia interpretation within 30 days of hire.
• ACLS certificate within 30 days of hire and maintained.
• Minimum one year as staff RN in acute care; CCU preferred.
• CCRN certification preferred.
• BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe patient care using the nursing process in the ICU.
• Direct and guide patient/family teaching and nursing staff activities.
• Communicate with physician about changes in patient condition and results.
• Ensure patient privacy and maintain confidentiality.

Education

Current and valid state RN License

Current BLS certificate upon hire

Completion of Critical Care Course

Basic Arrhythmia Interpretation within 30 days

Current ACLS certificate within 30 days

Minimum of one year as a staff RN in acute care

Critical Care RN (CCRN) Certification

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
