Job summary

Saint Joseph Medical Center - Joliet in Joliet, IL is seeking an Internal Registry Registered Nurse (RN) for ICU coverage. This 12-week assignment requires night shifts and offers a compensation of $57.50 per hour.

The RN will provide direct patient care in the ICU, adhere to nursing standards, and collaborate with physicians regarding patient status and treatments. BLS, critical care competencies, and active RN licensure are required.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN license.
• BLS certification at hire and maintained.
• Critical Care Course preferred.
• Basic Arrhythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire.
• ACLS certification within 30 days of hire and maintained.
• Minimum one year as staff RN in acute care hospital; critical care preferred.
• CCRN certification preferred.
• BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe patient care using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation).
• Provide direct patient care within scope of practice in the ICU.
• Direct and guide patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing staff while maintaining standards of care.
• Communicate changes in patient condition to physician, including hemodynamic monitoring and diagnostic results.
• Respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition or treatment response.
• Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality.

1 year ICU/acute care nursing experience
