Job summary

Saint Joseph Medical Center - Joliet is seeking an Internal Registry Registered Nurse (RN) for the ICU. Location: Joliet. Status: PRN. Shift: Nights. Compensation: $57.50 per hour.

The assignment is expected to last 12 weeks with potential adjustment based on staffing needs. Responsibilities include delivering safe patient care, nursing process, and collaboration with physicians in critical care scenarios. Requires ICU experience and current RN license.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN License.
• Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• Completion of Critical Care Course preferred.
• Basic Arrhythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire.
• Current ACLS certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
• Minimum of one year as a staff RN in acute care hospital, critical care preferred.
• Critical Care RN (CCRN) Certification preferred.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe patient care using the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation.
• Provides direct patient care within the scope of practice and directs patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel in the ICU.
• Communicates with the physician about changes in the patient’s clinical condition, including hemodynamic monitoring, diagnostic results, and symptomatology, and responds quickly to changes in condition or treatment.
