Job summary

Mercy Health is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at The Jewish Hospital in Cincinnati, OH. The role focuses on acute, critical patient care with responsibilities in assessment, care planning, and interventions in a nights shift.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred (not required).
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• BLS/ACLS (preferred at hire; ACLS within 6 months) and PALS (preferred; required in lieu of BLS/ACLS for pediatrics).
• 1 year of RN experience required.
• 6 months RN experience in Med/Surg, CCU, Stepdown, or ED preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team.
• Conduct initial and ongoing patient assessments; create a plan of care, implement treatment, and evaluate effectiveness.
• Synthesize information to take evidence-based, patient-focused action.
• Anticipate and respond to rapidly changing patient conditions.
• Administer medications safely per policies and procedures.
• Other duties as assigned.
