Job summary

ChristianaCare's Medical Intensive Care Unit is hiring a Registered Nurse to join our MICU team at Christiana Hospital in Sterling, VA. This is a full-time flex role (36 hrs/week) with night shifts and day shift rotations, offering a dynamic, high-acuity environment.

You will provide expert care for critically ill patients, collaborate with physicians and a multidisciplinary team, and advocate for patients and families.

Qualifications

• BSN required; ADN considered with BSN commitment within 3 years.
• Minimum 1 year acute care experience required.
• BLS required; ACLS preferred (must obtain within 6 months of hire).

Responsibilities

• Provide expert care for critically ill patients in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
• Partner with physicians, specialists, and a multidisciplinary team to deliver life-saving interventions
• Advocate for patients and families during their most vulnerable moments
• Use advanced monitoring and treatment strategies to achieve the best outcomes
