Job summary

The role requires current RN licensure, BLS, ACLS, and critical care experience. The nurse will deliver direct patient care in the ICU, coordinate physician communication, and train staff and families while ensuring privacy and high standards of care.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN License.
• Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• Completion of Critical Care Course preferred.
• Basic Arrhythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire.
• Current ACLS certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
• Minimum of one year as a staff RN in acute care hospital, critical care preferred.
• Critical Care RN (CCRN) Certification preferred.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe patient care using the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation.
• Direct and guide patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel in ICU.
• Communicate with physician about changes in patient condition, tests, results, and symptoms.
• Respond quickly to changes in condition and maintain patient privacy and confidentiality.
