Job summary

La Palma Intercommunity Hospital, a member of Prime Healthcare, is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide direct patient care in the ICU, following the nursing process. You will assess, plan, implement and evaluate care while guiding patient and family education, and coordinating with physicians on clinical changes.

Ideal candidates hold a state RN license, BLS and ACLS in place, plus ICU experience; BSN preferred, with CC RN certification preferred. This is a full-time Day shift in California.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN License is required.
• BLS certificate is required upon hire and current.
• ACLS certificate required within 30 days of hire and maintained.
• Basic Arrhythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire.
• Minimum of one year as a staff RN in acute care hospital; critical care preferred.
• CCRN certification preferred.
• BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe patient care using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation).
• Provide direct patient care within the scope of practice in the ICU.
• Direct and guide patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel.
• Communicate with physicians about changes in patient condition and test results.
• Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality.
