Job summary

La Palma Intercommunity Hospital in Los Angeles is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to deliver safe patient care in a fast-paced ICU setting. You will assess, plan, implement and evaluate care, collaborating with physicians and the care team to respond to changes in patient condition during night shifts.

Required licenses and certifications include a state RN license, BLS, ACLS, and preferably CC RN; experience in acute care and critical care is valued.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN license required.
• BLS certificate required at hire and maintained.
• ACLS certificate required at hire and maintained.
• Critical Care course completed or in progress.
• Basic arrhythmia interpretation within 30 days of hire.
• Minimum one year as a staff RN in acute care (critical care preferred).
• CCRN certification preferred.
• BSN degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe patient care using the nursing process for ICU patients.
• Direct and guide patient/family teaching and activities of other staff.
• Communicate with physicians about changes in patient condition and test results.
• Respond quickly to changes in condition and maintain patient privacy.
