Job summary

Desert Valley Hospital, part of the Prime Healthcare Foundation, is seeking a Registered Nurse to deliver safe patient care in the ICU. The role involves nursing process implementation, direct patient care, patient/family education, and close communication with physicians regarding changes in patient condition and test results.

The position emphasizes timely responses to clinical changes, privacy protection, and adherence to care standards.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN License.
• Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• Completion of Critical Care Course preferred.
• Basic Arrhythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire.
• Current ACLS certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
• Minimum of one year as a staff RN in acute care hospital, critical care preferred.
• Critical Care RN (CCRN) Certification preferred.
• BSN degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe patient care using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation).
• Provide direct patient care within the scope of practice and guide patient/family teaching.
• Communicate with physicians about changes in patient condition, tests, and treatment responses.
• Respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition and ensure patient privacy and confidentiality.
