Job summary

Desert Valley Hospital in Southern California is seeking a Registered Nurse to deliver safe patient care in the ICU, coordinating with physicians and families. You will monitor patients, communicate changes, and uphold privacy and quality standards.

The role requires an active RN license, BLS on hire, ACLS upon hire, and CCU experience preferred. A BSN is favored, with a total rewards package including retirement, health benefits, and tuition assistance.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN License.
• BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• ACLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• Critical Care Course preferred.
• Basic Arrhythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire.
• Minimum of one year as a staff RN in acute care hospital; critical care preferred.
• Critical Care RN (CCRN) Certification preferred.
• BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver safe patient care using the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation.
• Direct patient care within the scope of practice and guide patient/family teaching while maintaining standards of care.
• Communicate with physicians about changes in patient condition, including hemodynamic monitoring and diagnostic results.
