Qualifications

• Nursing licensure in Illinois (RN) required.
• CPR/BLS certified.
• ACLS certification within 6 months of hire.
• TNCC/TNS or NRP requirements depending on unit.
• NICU, ICU, or specialty certifications may be required for certain units.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients to determine mental, physical, and spiritual needs.
• Provide compassionate environment and support to patients and families.
• Plan, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans with the care team.
• Conduct health teaching to promote patient well-being.
• Document accurately in the medical record and ensure compliance.
• Float to other SIH nursing units within competency level as needed.
