Southern Illinois Healthcare (SIH) is seeking a registered nurse to provide professional nursing care for patients in various SIH units in Illinois. The role requires active IL RN license, BLS/CPR, ACLS within 6 months of hire, plus additional certifications as listed.

You will work through the internal SIH job portal via Workday. The nurse will assess needs, develop care plans with the multidisciplinary team, educate patients and families, document thoroughly, and float to units as needed while

Formación

• Nursing degree required (ADN/Diploma/BSN/MSN).
• Must maintain active Illinois RN license.

Responsabilidades

• Assess patients to determine mental, physical, and spiritual needs.
• Establish a compassionate environment to provide emotional, psychological, and spiritual support to patients and families.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized care in collaboration with the care team.
• Provide health teaching and counseling to promote optimum health.
• Demonstrate clinical judgement with critical thinking to recognize and report changes in patient condition.
• Complete accurate and timely documentation in the patient medical record.
• Contribute to policy/procedure development to support patient safety and quality of care.
• Supervise and delegate to licensed practical nurses and unlicensed assistive personnel.
• Advocate for patients by collaborating with health professionals.
• Float to other SIH nursing units within competency levels.
