Job summary

Mercy Health in Cincinnati is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join the ICU Stepdown/Progressive Care Unit at The Jewish Hospital. You will provide compassionate, evidence-based care, collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, and support patient families throughout acute care trajectories.

The role requires RN licensure, BSN preferred, BLS/ACLS as applicable, and at least 1 year of RN experience in an acute hospital setting.

Qualifications

• 1 year of RN experience (required)
• 6 months RN experience in an acute care hospital setting (preferred)
• Bachelor of Science Nursing (preferred, not required)
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
• BLS/ACLS (preferred at hire, ACLS required within 6 months)

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team
• Conducts initial and ongoing patient assessment, analyzes assessment data, creates a plan of care, implements treatment, and evaluates treatment effectiveness
• Serves as point of contact for patients’ care coordination throughout hospital departments
• Acts as a patient safety advocate by participating in ongoing quality improvement in the department
• Administer medications in a safe manner consistent with the State of Practice and the organization’s policies and procedures
• Other duties as assigned
