Job summary

White Oak Medical Center, part of Adventist HealthCare, seeks an experienced Patient Care Technician for our ICU. You will assist with vital signs, ADL tasks under RN supervision, and participate in a culture of safety and continuous learning.

Requirements include a High School Diploma, Maryland CNA license, BLS, and strong English communication. 36 hours weekly across three 12-hour night shifts with alternating weekends and holiday rotations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Successful completion of a CNA or first year Nursing School Program and successful completion of the CNA exam required.
• Maryland CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant) License required.
• Active American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Effective command of English language (spoken and written).
• Physical ability to meet job requirements of lifting, bending and turning.
• Experience in acute care clinical setting preferred.
• Strong computer skills in order to communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Perform vital signs and activities of daily living under RN supervision.
• Carry out care plan as established by the RN.
• Receive report from the RN and ensure safety culture.
• Identify and report malfunctioning equipment and restock as needed.
• Keep work areas and equipment clean and properly stored.
• Participate in department education programs and meetings.
